If you buy a set of brushes you will probably find that they come with a roll up bag. If you buy them separately then you can purchase a roll up bag for your brushes. Make sure that the bag you go for has separate compartments for each of your brushes. Doing this will prevent cross contamination between your brushes.
When you buy make up you often get given free make up bags that you never use. However you can get something out of them by using them to store your brushes. If you go for this option it is important to make sure you keep the bags very clean to stop bacteria getting on to your brushes. You should also make sure that you have different bags for brushes used for powder and brushes used for liquid.
If you want to keep your brushes on the side you can keep them in jars. These can be picked up for very low cost and you will need about 3. This will enable you to keep brushes of different sizes in different jars. Again this will help to prevent contamination of one brush to another.
Other important things to remember include never storing your brushes in direct sunlight. Leaving them in the sunlight will cause the fibres to wear down and dramatically reduce the life of your brushes. You should also make sure they are not kept in a very hot environment as this can cause make up to cake on to the brushes and completely ruin them.
